Ekwere is a highly accomplished operations and infrastructure leader with over 15 years of experience managing technical teams, mission-critical facilities, and complex industrial projects across Africa. His expertise spans power generation, pressure control, data centre operations, and large-scale infrastructure delivery—making him a valuable contributor to ABTA’s mission of advancing enterprise, trade, and partnerships across the continent.
He has held senior leadership roles at Baker Hughes, GE International Operations, and Alstom, where he was responsible for contract performance, project execution, and long-term service operations. His career also includes engineering roles at SDEM Erectors and Rockson Engineering, where he contributed to the delivery of high-capacity energy and transmission infrastructure.
In addition to his technical credentials, Ekwere is a strategic thinker with a proven ability to optimise operations, lead cross-functional teams, and mitigate risk in high-pressure environments. He is also committed to environmental sustainability and resource efficiency, aligning well with ABTA’s goal of fostering responsible enterprise growth.
He holds an MBA from the University of Lagos, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, and professional certifications in Project Management and Data Centre Facility Management.
At ABTA, he provides strategic guidance on infrastructure-related trade, enterprise scaling, industrial partnerships, and energy-sector engagement.
