Bridging Policy and Practice: Africa's Circular Economy in Action

Join us for a webinar examining how circular economy action is shaping sustainable growth, trade and investment across Africa.

Across the continent, businesses, entrepreneurs and policymakers are taking practical steps to address waste management challenges and build more circular systems. From new waste management legislation in Kenya to corporate recycling and manufacturing initiatives, African actors are working to reduce pollution, improve resource efficiency and create new economic value.

Timed alongside the COP30 negotiations in Belém, Brazil, this discussion will explore how business innovation and policy frameworks intersect to support climate resilience, competitiveness and trade opportunities for African economies.

Discussion themes

  • The business case for Africa’s circular economy: how sustainable production supports profitability and inclusion.

  • Trade opportunities from circular innovation under AfCFTA and global partnerships.

  • Financing, policy and regulatory mechanisms for scaling circular business models.

  • How regional collaboration promotes harmonised standards and trade integration.
